If reading your banner seems like too much work, trade show attendees may be turned off. Keep your display simple, but make sure it succinctly tells people what you do. Guests may not want to read a dissertation, but they need to have an idea of who you are.

Feature your logo and branding. Make sure your company name and logo are visible not only on your trade show displays, but also on any promotional materials or freebies you give out. Wherever it fits in, be sure to include your website address and other easy to remember contact information so that attendees can follow up with you after the show.

Make it easy for attendees to learn about you. Is your target customer pressed for time? They are more likely to pay attention to information shown at eye level. Disorganized information or text that’s too low or high may be easily ignored. Create an environment and exhibit that makes it easy to learn about your services and products. Arrange promotional materials in a way that attendees can grab-and-go if they are in a rush to get to their next session.

Give thought to your exhibit experience. How are you going to get people to your booth? Find out how big of an area you’ll have at the trade show, and be sure to check if there are any additional restrictions. You don’t want to design something great and then have to scrap it because it’s too big.
